South Shore Ice Dragons is an adaptive and inclusive special ice hockey program that provides facilitated programs for special needs/disabled individuals of all ages, from 5 years and older into adulthood, within the South Shore of Massachusetts, focusing on ice hockey and team building activities that serve individuals with physical, developmental, cognitive, and/or intellectual disabilities. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and a member of ASHA, the American Special Hockey Association.
South Shore Ice Dragons seeks to:
• Invite and engage with individuals with physical and/or special needs, and their caregivers, to use creative solutions for their identified goals and challenges.
• Provide recreational opportunities with purpose for disabled/special needs families that are not available in the mainstream.
• Provide inclusive community events that celebrate the disabled/special needs community’s abilities.
• Support community collaborations that enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities/special needs, their families, and the community at large.
For the 2025 -2026 Season we meet on Sundays at the Hobomock Area In Pembroke, MA.

In order to play you must register first with ASHA, the American Special Hockey Association.
In March the Ice Dragons attended the 2026 ASHA CAN/AM Special Hockey Festival at Lake Placid! This event celebrated everything that makes Special Hockey extraordinary: teamwork, inclusion, passion, and pure love of the game, all set against the historic backdrop of the 1980 Olympic Center, home of the Miracle on lce.
